When you buy a used boat you are at risk. One of the tools you can use is a pre-purchase marine survey from an independent marine surveyor. You want piece of mind, and you want to reduce the chance of making a poor boat purchase decision. Although a marine survey should never replace the on the water lake test, it is a great additional layer of protection and a common condition on many boat purchase agreements.
